Fresh cocktail: Tex-Mex by Jaime Bernabe
Our collaborator Jaime Bernabe from Aura café in Murcia prepares us this fresh cocktail in Fibar Valladolid 2017, international cocktail fair in Spain. This cocktail is surprising for its magnificent balance of flavours, highlighting the flavour complexity of our mezcal Machetazo, as a base, and the intensity of our coffee liquor. A fresh cocktail, balanced and daring, that will not leave anyone indifferent.
Jaime Bernabe is bartender at gastropub Aura café in Puente Tocinos, Murcia.
- 5cl mezcal Machetazo Papalote 100% agave
- 2cl lime juice
- 1cl Coffe liqueur
- 1cl spicy cola syrup
- top ginger beer
Preparation of fresh cocktail: Add mezcal, lime juice, coffe liqueur and spicy cola syrup in the shaker. “Shake” and serve in a old-fashioned glass with crushed ice. Top of ginger beer.
Garnish: 2 branches of hierbabuena (peppermint).
